V.I.P. Lounge
I am experimenting with offering access to an area of my private digital workspace.
I’m thinking of this as something like a V.I.P. lounge, open kitchen, vestibule….a place between the private and the public sharing, I haven't quite arrived at the correct metaphor yet. There will be no need to comment, share, like, no heart button to press, nothing that will be pushed at you, in other words. Just a place to come see how an artist, writer and teacher does her thing.
Yes, this is the sort of thing that social media was supposed to enable, and before that, the internet itself. Like many of you, I’ve become weary of all that— and wary of sharing things far and wide in today’s climate. It’s wildly appealing to me to move more of what I do behind a privacy screen and I’m hoping this it. Honestly, I’m hoping that I can move everything (such as it is) that I put on my blog/newsletter here. We shall see!
Although everything is subject to change, in this initial phase there is no charge for this. HOWEVER, access will be strictly limited, so I will be able to still make use of the space for my creative process while sharing material I’m not ready to/don’t want to/can’t for whatever reason release broadly into the wild.
